I have finally committed to doing The 20 Games Challenge. I first heard about it by randomly stumbling upon this video -

The idea stuck to me right away. I couldn't stop thinking about it and how much fun it would be to attempt it. I believe in the structure and can't argue with the fact that any one who gets to the end of this challenge would have made incredible progress as a game developer, and finally be ready to try their own project. Not only will they learn the fundamentals by starting off simple and getting more and more complicated as they go, but the will also learn which games they actually enjoy making the most.

This is game 1, Pong. I chose it because I already made a flappy bird clone quite a while ago (2.5 years ago). This version was created in mostly in four days. I am pretty impressed with it for that amount of time. My hope is to get some feedback that I can implement into game 2 of the challenge, Breakout!

I did use ChatGPT to help me code pretty extensively, and will continue to do so on my coding journey. However I have no interest in using AI art or music/sound.

The pause function seems to have an issue in the WebGL build of this game. I could troubleshoot it or remove it but I am ready to move on to game 2. I will upload an exe that can be downloaded where the pause, resume and quit buttons actually work. In this build I recommend just not pausing.

Please leave your feedback if you have any!
